4 Cautions Before Jumping In

Microsoft Teams is VERY new as an educational platform. There are new functions being added regularly and this can cause some confusion as the platform could change slightly during your term.

If you plan on exchanging files with students, you will have to take some time to consider how you will organize the file structure in order to keep things tidy. The system will not organize files for you. However, it is possible, and is also an essential skill for students to learn, but will require some thought.

You will not be able to do your grading inside MSTeams. There are other solutions for doing this, but there is no way for MSTeams to be a one software solution for your teaching at the moment.

Your first time using Teams is going to be a learning experience. You will need to be comfortable adapting during the course and being comfortable with not knowing answers to some questions.
