In this chapter, we will:

- Describe different theories of emotion.
- Explain the concept of emotional labour and the importance of emotional intelligence in the workplace.
- Identify strategies for regulating negative emotions.
In this chapter, students will learn about the functions and nature of human emotions. We will explore theories of emotion, including the Cannon-Bard theory, the James-Lange theory, and the two-factor theory. Additionally, we will explore the role of emotional intelligence in achieving workplace success and discuss strategies for managing negative emotions.
