This pressbook was created to complement BUSN732, a course that is part of two of Centennial College’s Graduate Certificate Programs: Global Business Management and International Business Management.

Successful business professionals know how to critically assess information and how to present that information clearly and effectively to various audiences and for various purposes.

This brief, but ambitious, book provides students with opportunities to develop critical thinking and writing skills.

In the Business Correspondence chapter, the focus is internal and external emails since email is one of the most widely used methods of business communication.

In the Review of Basic Sentence Structure and Grammar, students can review basic points of grammar and complete the practice activities that are used within business vocabulary and business contexts.

In the Reading, Critical Thinking, and Annotation Skills chapters, students can use the various articles provided to practice their critical thinking and APA annotation skills.

The Report Writing section includes an annotated sample report and various activities structured to walk students through the direct-approach report writing process.

Finally, the Oral Communications section provides information on how to structure a presentation with a model presentation.
