Chapter 3 – Audio Script

Good morning. My name is Cindy. Today I want to tell you about the results of my survey. I asked my classmates this question: What do you love doing in your free time?

I heard several interesting answers, such as traveling, gardening, and baking. But the most popular hobby is reading.

I would like to tell you 3 reasons why reading is a great hobby.

First, reading is relaxing. It can help you feel calm and relaxed. For me, I love to sit in a comfortable chair with a cup of tea and a book. I forget about the stresses in life when I am reading. I can imagine I am in a different world.

Second, reading is inexpensive. This hobby does not cost a lot of money. You can buy used books for a very cheap price. Or if you go to the library, you can borrow a book for free! eBooks, magazines and online articles are also inexpensive.

Third, reading is wonderful because you can do it anywhere and anytime. You do not need to go to a special place, and you do not need any equipment! You just need a book, a magazine, or an internet connection!

In conclusion, it is not surprising that the most popular hobby in our class is reading. People all over the world love reading. It is a great hobby because it is relaxing, it is inexpensive, and you can do it anywhere and anytime. Thank you for listening to my presentation, and happy reading!
