Strategy: Predict
- Thinking about the topic before you listen helps you prepare to hear and understand more.
- It is ok if your predictions are correct or incorrect.
- The goal is to “warm up” your ears and brain, not to guess accurately.
Predict, Listen, Take Notes
- Predict what the speakers might say. Type your ideas in the second column.
- Listen. Take notes in the third column.
- *If one of your predictions is correct, circle it (don’t re-write it).
