Let’s examine how one cereal brand, Special K, uses social media. Explore the following graphics and see what similarities and differences you can note. As you do so, ask yourself why the social media team has made their decisions. Some questions to ask are:

  • How do you think the audiences differ across platforms?
  • What similarities exist across platforms?
  • What differences exist across platforms?
  • How do the different platforms use colour?
  • What do you think the purpose of each platform is. What real-world effects are they trying to create?
  • What platforms do you think the social media team devotes the most time to? Why?
