6.11 Activities For Further Reflection

Activities and Exercises

  1. Find an infographic online. Then, evaluate it according to what you’ve just learned. Write a short paragraph that answers the following questions: How does it present data? Is it easy to understand? Is it ethical? Can you understand where the data came from?
  2. Choose a website that you like to visit, then use what you learned about accessibility to evaluate how accessible the website’s visuals are. Write a short email (you don’t have to send it) to the website’s owner suggesting three changes they could make to improve the accessibility of their visuals.
  3. Look at your own social media presence. Which content gets the most likes/comments/interaction? Why do you think this is?
  4. Choose a brand that you admire and perform the same type of analysis that we did with Special K. Write a short paragraph explaining your results.
  5. Write a paragraph explaining how you use social media, and if your social media use has changed over time.
