B.3: Interpersonal and Group Communication Modules

INTERPERSONAL AND GROUP COMMUNICATION

These interpersonal communications modules introduce learners to concepts and approaches that will enable them to work effectively with others in their work integrated learning (WIL) experiences.  Module content and activities focus on teamwork, interpersonal communication, intercultural communication, and networking strategies.

NelpA note about accessibility: these are web-based interactive modules that contain audio and video.  The modules incorporate a variety of  accessibility features compatible with assistive technology, including full transcripts and synchronized closed captioning of all audio content.

B 3.1 Interpersonal Communication

This module includes content and activities that will support participants in communicating effectively with their colleagues and clients face-to-face in WIL experiences.

B 3.2 Intercultural Communication

This module includes content and activities that will introduce participants to key employability skills that are highly sought-after by employers. Participants will reflect upon and critically assess their existing employability skills and will review strategies for further developing and refining them.

B 3.3 Teamwork

This module includes content and activities that will support participants in communicating respectfully and working productively in teams in the workplace.

B 3.4 Networking Strategies

This module includes content and activities that will help participants assess their existing professional and academic networks and consider strategies for making new connections, including face-to-face and social media approaches.
