2 The Future is Not Assessment

This contribution is not a final manifesto but rather a moment in my decades-long personal interrogation of capital “A” Assessment (student performs; teacher assesses) as experienced as a learner and as a teacher. Thank you for stepping into my learning process. I am glad that you are here.

About the Author

Alice Schuda is a White woman of European and colonizer descent born in the 1960’s,  economically stable with numerous years of formal education in the United States and Canada and numerous years of experiential learning/unlearning. She is sustained by and trying to live humbly and respectfully on homelands of the Haudenosaunee, Anishinabewaki, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Mississauga, and Wendake-Nionwetsïo (Native-Land.ca) among other peoples who historically lived from the lands that she knows as Toronto and Ontario.
