IEEE Spectrum (2021)
The annual ranking of programming languages by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the world’s largest technical professional organization, uses slightly different criteria than the TIOBE index, which is updated monthly. The site is interactive, and provides additional information about languages, including their type and areas application. As of December 2021, Python was the #1 language on both the IEEE Spectrum and Tiobe indexes.
