Explore states of matter and changes in states of matter.

To Do

1. In the part “States”, use the menu options on the left to change the state of matter and teh substance. Observe the change in a way participles move.

Use the slider at the bottom of the screen to change the temperature of the substance. Notice teh changes in the behaviour of particles.

2. In the part “Phase Changes”, notice that you can change pressure in three ways:

by using a pump on the left to add particles to the container;

or

by moving the finger down;

or

by increasing the temperature.

Try and increase pressure as much as you can, what will happen?
