Documentation and Formatting
As an introductory level-one writing course, the WRIT: Reason and Writing curriculum does not explore the more advanced aspects of academic research, including locating and citing sources correctly.
Research and documentation skills is a core component of our level-two professional communications curriculum. For most learners at Fanshawe College, WRIT is a prerequisite course for a mandatory professional communications class that is part of many programs.
Nevertheless, because academic integrity is important to student success, we include this section on the two most common forms of documentation: MLA and APA format. This section is designed to support learning in your program of study.
