8 Your Rights and Responsibilities at NC
NC expects that, as an adult learner, you are committed to achieving academic success and to contributing to the college community in productive and respectful ways.
Academic Rights & Responsibilities Policy and Student Code of Conduct Policy
All students are expected to act responsibly and uphold standards of conduct that form the basis for good citizenship which includes civility, responsibility and respect. Your rights and responsibilities as an NC student are outlined in this policy. Take some time to read it and become familiar with this important document.
Student Rights and Responsibilities Office
The Student Rights and Responsibilities Office (SRRO) assists students in understanding their rights and responsibilities with the aim of maintaining a positive, safe and respectful environment for all members of the NC community. SRRO is committed to promoting a safe and successful experience for Niagara College students by adhering to the fair and transparent principles outlined in the Student Code of Conduct Policy. This is another important document that you should read carefully!
SRRO also provides several resources to help students, including the Consent is Key campaign to combat sexual violence and a detailed set of Netiquette Tips for Online Classrooms.
Taking Responsibility for Your Learning
