Preparing for Community Engagement

It is your responsibility to learn what you can about your community partner and their expectations before you venture out into the community. What should you think about before you go?

Values and Assumptions

Some of the work you will need to do before the placement or experience begins is a self-assessment of your readiness: what are your assumptions, biases, values as they pertain to the community partner?
