Just Culture

The Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP) believes that all students enrolled in a pharmacy technician program, are permitted to learn with a culture of trust and accountability. It believes that the learning of one is supportive, inclusive, respectful and safe. Students are encouraged to question practices, express concern(s) and admit mistakes without suffering ridicule or punishment. A just culture tries to achieve a balance between not punishing an individuals for making a mistake and addressing an individual’s accountability for a mistake. The Pharmacy Technician Program at Centennial College believes in this Just Culture. Students and faculty are encouraged to engage in dialog, learn and practice safely and to be accountable for their actions at all times.
