2 Job Search Steps and Supports

Congratulations on your application to the Digital Technologies Program

During the application process, you will want to demonstrate your analytical skills, communication skills, professionalism, curiosity for technology, and overall potential of becoming a qualified employee of the company.

This guide will help you through the process.

The graphic below will provide you with a brief introduction to each stage of the process and chapters within this guide. Click on the (+) signs within the graphic below to learn more, or review the text below the graphic.

Step 1: Review the job postings

The next step is to secure a Digital Technologies job using our internal job posting portal.

Postings will be continuous; it is important to continue to apply for roles of interest to you until you have secured a job offer.

*You will receive a link to the job search portal after you are enrolled as a Digital Technologies applicant. Be sure to follow the instructions to change your password by clicking on “Forgot Password” to see the current job postings.

If you have a potential opportunity within your own network and would like to discuss how to proceed, please contact Nelufur Bhasin, Director, Educational and Employer Partnerships, nbhasin@yorku.ca.

Please ensure your cell phone voicemail is set up with a professional message and you check it regularly for potential employer messages.

If you hear directly from an employer regarding an interview or receive a verbal offer, please inform us at hiremarkham@yorku.ca.

After you have reviewed the material and received an interview request, our team will be in touch with you to provide additional support.

This is a competitive job search process. When you find a job that you are interested in, take time to update and create your documents to demonstrate your enthusiasm for the role.
