Students taking a testWhat are the Test Centre’s Rules?

  • Food and Drink Policy: Students can have a lidded beverage and a quiet snack while writing their tests. Students writing at a desk with a computer will be asked to keep their beverages on the floor to prevent liquid damage to keyboards/computers.
  • Bathroom Breaks: Students can attend the bathroom during their test time.*
  • Headwear: Students are allowed to wear any form of headwear during testing.*
  • Internet-Enabled Devices: Students will be asked to keep all internet-enabled devices in a Test Centre locker.

Information for Faculty

Lead Times: All testing is by appointment only. No drop-in testing is available.

Accommodated/Missed Tests: The Test Centre requires two full business days to process requests for missed or rescheduled tests. Example: a student needs to write on a Wednesday. The request must be submitted by the end of the day on Friday, so that the Test Centre has two full business days (Monday and Tuesday) to process the booking. Weekends and holidays do not count as business days.

Remote Testing: Five days is preferred, especially for students who require a reader and/or scribe; shorter turnaround time may be accommodated on a case-by-case basis.
