In this class the realities of racial disparities that exist within Canada’s healthcare system will be highlighted. This week, we will explore race as a social determinant of health and what this means for Black Canadians when they interact with the healthcare system.

On Tuesdayyou will read three assigned articles discussed on the following page, and watch TED Talk on systemic racism within healthcare.

On Thursday, we will come together to critically discuss key points from the video, and connect concepts to the readings.
