Contemporary multicultural Canada is widely believed to be a country of diversity and inclusion. However, systemic anti-Black racism is pervasive. From education to healthcare, and policing, this unit makes visible the day-to-day struggles of Black Canadians. Underscoring the systemic oppression faced by Black Canadians the unit demonstrates that we have a long way to go towards achieving equality in Canada.
