About the Editor

Anela Tomac, B.Sc, MBA, C.Mgr, is a professor and program coordinator at Conestoga College in Kitchener, Ontario. Her career at Conestoga began in 2008, and since then, she has been dedicated to promoting teaching excellence, supporting students, and developing open teaching materials for the academic community. She teaches various business courses, including Introduction to Business, Workplace Success Strategies, Marketing, etc. She has degrees in Graphic Design, Advertising Design, Marketing Communications, and a Master’s in Business Administration. She also holds a certificate in Online Marketing from the Canadian Marketing Association and a Chartered Manager designation from CIM Chartered Managers Canada.

Before joining Conestoga College, Anela built a successful career in marketing, holding various roles in both Ontario and New York City.  Anela contributed to the 2018 edition of Business Fundamentals, published by eCampusOntario, and served as Vice President of Marketing on the Board of Directors for Chartered Managers Canada from 2017 to 2019.

Outside of her professional life, Anela enjoys travelling to her native Europe and spending quality time with her family.
