Introduction to Teaching Portfolios

McMaster University has earned a strong reputation for its commitment to excellence, innovation, and creativity in education. In addition to offering engaging classroom and digital learning opportunities, the university has championed pedagogical approaches such as problem-based learning, experiential education, and community engagement. Within this student-centred context, the teaching portfolio provides educators with dedicated space to articulate and reflect on their teaching philosophy, approaches to teaching, personal growth, and impact on student learning. By extension, the teaching portfolio also captures McMaster’s dedication to advancing knowledge, nurturing learners, and serving the global community.
