Introduction

This book contains only the teaching oriented portions of my first book on the Pressbooks site of eCampus Ontario. I really appreciate the opportunity to experiment with making some of my content available in an open environment. As a developing collection of notes, this book will probably always be an eclectic and incomplete parcel of materials, including student oriented chapters that haven’t found a home yet. Please excuse the mess while I gather notes that are useful to me. I hope they are useful to you.

I am also experimenting with a book on the commercial Pressbooks site in support of a tiny house project for some first year students at Queen’s. I have moved a copy of the tiny house book into the back of this book as part of the closing of pressbooks.com in 2022.

The original materials in this book are licensed under Creative Commons and you are encouraged to share and remix them as long as you point people back to the originals with an appropriate attribution.

Some of the files referred to in this book are on GitHub. It may be useful to clone the whole repository rather than downloading individual files. That will get everything and make sure all the files needed for any examples are in the right folders.
