Conclusion

In this lesson, we took a closer look into both the impact and application of the concepts of Psychological and Cultural Safety in the workplace. We explored how these terms are not just used for academic study or high-level policy development but have real consequences on both individual employees and organizations as a whole. We learned that when an organization is psychologically and culturally safe for all employees, including Indigenous employees, the workplace as a whole is more likely to thrive. This has wide-ranging impacts from the profitability of an organization, to the well-being of each individual employee.
