Process: Create Your Own

If after going through the “Finding OER process” you did not find an OER that meets your needs, you can start The OER Development Process. This process includes the steps outlined in the graphic below. The following modules of this book provide content and resources to support each step.

If you are a Fanshawe faculty (full-time, part-time, or partial load)  you can apply for a Fanshawe OER grant for development time. See more information at the OER grant website.

Step 5: Define: Outline the scope, structure and style of your new resource.
Step 6: Develop: Work with the studio to build your content.
Step 7: Review: Engage your colleagues, students and other users in reviewing your new resources.
Step 8: Publish/Maintain:  Publish your new resource, share and update accordingly

Adopt the existing resource(s).
