Expectations and Guidelines

Following is a list of project expectations when working with the OER Design Studio. If you have any concerns at any time, please reach out at oer@fanshawec.ca

Project Expectations

We expect that you will work collaboratively with the studio and meet the following:

  • Complete the project plan (provided) prior to the start of the project.
  • Complete work as outlined in the project plan as agreed upon.
  • Provide notification for missed deadlines.
  • Meet with the instructional designer or project manager/coordinator regularly as agreed upon.
  • Work with the studio team in a respectful manner.

The Studio team will not tolerate disrespectful behaviour including harassment in any form. If someone engages in harassing behaviour, the work with the Studio will be suspended until a resolution can be found.

Respect and Kindness: treat everyone with respect and kindness.

Open-Mindedness: embrace diversity and be open to different perspectives, ideas, and opinions.

Collaborative Environment: create opportunities for everyone to be heard and share ideas.

Constructive Feedback: feedback is provided constructively and respectfully. Feedback should aim to improve and support each other’s growth. Be open to feedback, willing to admit mistakes, and committed to learning from them.

Learning and Growth: embrace a culture of continuous learning and personal growth. Help others learn and grow by providing guidance and support.
