You may choose to ask other people to contribute to your OER. If so, it is important that they understand that their contributions will be shared in an open resource under an open license.
Sample Email to Partners
I am developing an open educational resource for my students at Fanshawe College in the *course and/or program name*. The resource will include *testimonial/other content* from individuals like you. If you want to include a *testimonial/other content*, please note that your content will be included in the open resource and publicly shared under an open license. Video Quality
If you are asking folks to create video content, you can provide direction on how to create a good-quality video.
Fanshawe College Curriculum
If you would like to include Fanshawe College curriculum in your OER, you will need permission from the college.
- Reach out to the administrator overseeing the content, and inform them of the content you would like to include, and perhaps how it will be used in your OER (including that it will be available under a CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 licence).
- It would be best if you could obtain permission from the original author.
Please send the email permissions and the content in its original form to the copyright officer for approval.
