Open research
Open research is the effort to make research and research results more transparent. It is also meant to encourage collaboration. Open research, for instance, may make the methodology of the work accessible through the Internet. It is analogous to open-source software, where the source code for a program written in a programming language is made freely available to others so that it may be examined, critiqued, and possibly improved. Open research may improve the quality and accessibility of the research and provides the opportunity for humanities scholars to engage with the public (Hedges et al., 2019).
