Digital Materials and the Web
Digital materials have a prominent place in humanities disciplines. They serve as archives for contemporary life. They provide a vast array of digital collections, some of which consist of analog (non-digital) materials that have been digitized and include important collections of cultural heritage materials. They are also embedded into the communication infrastructure of society.
