Kelly Hudder began her career in the hospital setting and since has worked in a variety of capacities as an RN for surgical and medical services. She joined Trent University as a clinical instructor while completing her graduate education, and now is a full-time Clinical Learning Facilitator. In this role, she supports the clinical instructors as they engage in teaching/learning activities specific to course outcomes, promotes cohesion and professional accountability, a liaison between agencies and Trent/Fleming School of Nursing. Her areas of research interest are simulation and virtual simulation.
Kathryn Bushuk R.N., B.Sc.N., M.N. (candidate, 2018), is a Registered Nurse with clinical experience in a level 3 NICU and paediatric units. Kathryn is a First aid, BLS, AED and NLS instructor/examiner and utilizes simulation as a pedagogical tool to enhance learning. With a keen interest in simulation as well as interprofessional education and collaboration, Kathryn desired to merge her MN project and passion to enhance RN readiness and patient safety outcomes through the creation of an undergraduate newborn virtual simulation serious game. The project aimed to enhance undergraduate learning in an innovative way.
