Amphiarthrosis

Joints with some movement.

Ankylosis

Abnormal condition of stiffness.

Appendicular Skeleton

Consists of all the bones in the upper and lower limbs.

Arthralgia

Painful joint(s).

Arthritis

Inflammation of the joints.

Articulations

Also known as joints. It is where bones meet bones or bones meet bones.

Autoimmune Diseases/Disorders

Autoimmune diseases are disorders in which the immune system overreacts and begins to attack itself.

Axial Skeleton

Forms the vertical, central axis of the body and includes all bones of the head, neck, chest, and back.

Chronic

A condition that lasts a long time with periods of remission and exacerbation.

Diarthrosis

Freely moveable joints.

Edema

Swelling.

Hematopoiesis

The process in which the body produces blood.

Osteoarthritis

Inflammation of bones and joints.

Osteoporosis

Abnormal condition of bones that are porous.

Synarthrosis

Joints with no movements.
