Learning Analytics is still at an early stage of development in education. In higher education institutions in Canada, we are beginning to explore ways in which the potential of learning analytics can be harnessed while ensuring privacy and ethical use of student data. This practical guide is intended for educators and others who are interested in using learning analytics for teaching and learning in a variety of higher education contexts.

We chose PressBooks to host the guide, which is currently in draft form. PressBooks allows us to continue to revise the text and add interactive multimedia and case studies as they become available.
