Conclusion

We all appreciate a smooth day at work. By learning the non-verbal and cultural language of those around us, we find ourselves better equipped to achieve this. Through understanding the cultural pretexts of our colleagues, management, and those we direct, we put ourselves in a position to communicate more effectively.

Learning Goals

After this lesson, I can now:

  • Understand cultural differences in communication and how these may affect interactions.
  • Identify the basic hallmarks of Indigenous communication styles.
