AFTER COMPLETING THIS CHAPTER YOU WILL BE ABLE TO:
- say who you are (Ich bin Student/in);
- say what you like (Ich mag Wasser);
- say what you want (ich will Kaffee trinken);
- introduce yourself (Ich heiße …);
- say where you come from, where you live, and what you are studying (ich komme aus Ottawa, ich wohne in Hamilton, ich studiere Geschichte)
- use the phrase ‚es gibt‘ (there is/are)
- understand and give one or two-word answers to basic questions
