31 Implied Action

Implied Action

In German, verbs of motion are often implied, especially in combination with modals, such as kann,  will‚ muss‚ darf, or möchte.

Thus, you would say: „Ich muss zur Uni“ (I must [go] to the university) with gehen being implied, but not actually said.
