Greetings & Farewells
- Hallo! / Guten Tag! = Hi! / Hello! (formal)
- Tschüß! / Auf Wiedersehen! = Bye! / Bye! (formal).
When addressing multiple people informally, you may add Leute (people, folk) to your phrase: e.g. ‚Hallo/Tschüß, Leute!‚
