12 Schönen Tag noch!
Schönen Tag noch!
To wish someone a good day, you can say Schönen Tag noch! which literally means ‘nice day still!’.
A possible response is: “Ebenfalls!” (same to you)
You can replace the word ‘Tag‘ with ‘Abend‘ to wish someone a nice night/evening:
Schönen Abend noch!
However, if you wish to wish someone a good weekend, the phrase changes slightly:
Schönes Wochenende noch! (This happens because it is ‘das Wochenende’, but ‘der Tag/Abend’. The ending we see is the accusative form of the article.)
- Schönen Tag/Abend noch! = (have a) nice day!
- Ebenfalls! = you too!
