Sharing and Exporting

In this section:

  1. Sharing
  2. Export to PDF

Sharing

A best practice is to share material in advance of a presentation or class.

  • This allows users to check for barriers beforehand
  • All users can take additional, in-depth notes and understand terminology and names with greater comprehension
  • Users who experience barriers can zoom in or adjust the documents to their viewing preferences

Sharing a read-only file is the most accessible way to share PowerPoint presentations.

You can share PowerPoint files with various levels of permissions. Ensure you set a password to make a PowerPoint truly read-only. Selecting Always Open Read-Only still allows users to change the content by selecting Edit Anyway.

Export to PDF

You can export PowerPoint presentations to PDF. Keep in mind, extra work may be needed in Acrobat DC Pro to ensure the PDF is accessible. See this guide’s PDF accessibility chapter for more information.
