Content Warning
The content of this resource engages with multiple topics that may be emotionally or intellectually difficult. Each participant comes to this learning with unique lived experiences. The topics in this resource include, but are not limited to, depictions or referenced examples of structural, cultural, and direct violence related trauma connected to racism, ableism, classism, sexual violence (including gender-based violence), some of which readers may find activating, uncomfortable, or upsetting. Please note that the experiences of being activated is different than being intellectually challenged. The main difference is that an individual must have experienced trauma to experience being activated, whereas an intellectual challenge is necessary to grow and helps us evolve beyond our frames of reference.
