Platform requirements

This template is meant to be used with Pressbooks, an open sourcebook creation platform. While you may use this template as a reference for any OER project, it is meant to be applied to Pressbooks. This platform is free through eCampus Ontario. To set up, your account, refer to the Annotated Resource Guide under “Pressbooks” for instructions.

Copying this Template into Pressbooks

We recommend that you import this template into your textbook account by cloning it. Below is a video walking you through how to clone a resource in pressbooks.

Written step-by-step instructions are available in the “Clone a Book” chapter of Pressbooks User Guide.

Using this Template with Your Content

Once cloned, you may begin revising the template with your content. The template layout is designed to be populated with your content and indicates where to put your text. Any text in the template placed in [BRACKETS] is meant to be replaced by your content. Any text highlighted in yellow are instructions and/or examples to guide you, however, these should be deleted before publication.
