What is it?

Google Scholar is a tool for finding books and journal articles that are scholarly in nature and that that you might normally get from a library. It often provides links to online versions and to library copies to help you locate an item.

When to Use It

Use Google Scholar to find scholarly articles and books, verify citations, and explore related resources. When books are available through Google Books, some of their content may be available online.

Additional Tips

  • Limit the results on the left side using the Any Time date ranges.
  • Found something in Google Scholar but there’s no “Get it! @Brock”? Pop the title into SuperSearch to double check.
  • Cite by #: at the bottom of each item in the results is a link to the articles that cited that item. Explore this to find more sources!
