Changemaking Commitment

“I commit to practicing changemaking by allowing students to lead the way, listening to the wisdom of my students, co-creating opportunities for learning, finding my spark, and getting to work.”

Changemaker Intention

Before you go, we want to provide you with one more opportunity for reflection and goal-setting as a changemaking educator. Using one of the four changemaker competencies (empathy, teamwork, shared leadership, practicing changemaking), set an intention for your journey and how you might achieve it. For example:

  • I will practice empathy by listening to and accepting someone’s truth.
  • I will practice empathy by being patient and not rushing anyone, including myself, to an outcome.
  • I will practice shared leadership by encouraging my learners to co-create an assignment with me.
