Active McMaster students, faculty and staff have free, unlimited access to video tutorials related to business, media and technology through LinkedIn Learning, a self-service training site.

Connecting LinkedIn Learning to a LinkedIn Profile
LinkedIn recommends connecting or creating a LinkedIn profile to receive enhanced product features (such as retaining course history even after you’ve left McMaster University) and more personalized content recommendations.
LinkedIn takes your privacy seriously, so only your basic information (e.g., name, job title, skills, photo) will be shared with McMaster University. McMaster University will not have access to any private activity from your personal LinkedIn account.
Note:
- McMaster LinkedInLearning does not require learners to link their personal LinkedIn account
- Using yourMacID and password, you do not need to create an individual account or connect your learning account to a personal LinkedIn account.

How can LinkedIn Learning Support You?
Here’s how LinkedIn Learning supports learners:
Wide-ranging Course Library: LinkedIn Learning offers a vast library of more than 16,000 (as of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021) expert-led courses in seven languages, covering everything from hard skills like leadership, communication, and productivity to soft skills like programming and data analysis.
Personalized Course Recommendations: LinkedIn Learning will make course recommendations for you based on information from your LinkedIn profile, such as your job title, talents, and industries of interest.
Learning Paths: If you want to learn a bigger topic area, this option is helpful because it combines several relevant courses into one track.
Experienced Teachers: Industry leaders and professionals create and deliver the courses on LinkedIn Learning, ensuring their quality and relevance.
It’s important to note that while LinkedIn Learning does provide a certificate of completion when you finish a course, these certificates aren’t currently considered formal accreditation in most professional or academic contexts.
