Patient-centered care, which maintains that every patient is a distinct individual with their own needs, values, and preferences, is a fundamental nursing principle. This viewpoint highlights the importance of individualized care that respects each person’s autonomy, culture, and personal objectives. According to McCance et al. (2011), patient-centered care is associated with improved health outcomes and patient satisfaction as well as stronger nurse-patient relationships. This method acknowledges patients’ emotional, psychological, and social needs in addition to their physical ones, which is consistent with nursing’s holistic approach.
