2 Program Model Route
The courses required for completion of your program are outlined in your model route. Every program has a set of courses that you are required to successfully complete in order to graduate from the program. Your model route shows the sequence of courses by semester that you are required to take, including experiential learning (e.g., work terms and field placements). Your model route also shows any pre-requisites and co-requisites. You will be expected to complete the courses and other requirements outlined in the model route that was in effect when you began your program unless there are program changes (program changes will be communicated to you).

Q. What is a pre-requisite?
- A pre-requisite is a course that you must take before taking other courses. If there are any, all pre-requisite courses are clearly stated on your Program Model Route and on the course outline.
Q. What is a co-requisite?
- A co-requisite is a course that is dependent on another course and must be taken in the same semester. If you fail one of the identified (2) courses, you may be required to repeat both courses. All co-requisite courses are stated on your Program Model Route and on the course outline.
Program Completion Requirements
You must complete all courses listed in your model route to graduate. If you do not pass a course, you may not continue in the following SEMESTER. You may finish the semester you are in.
To pick up the failed course, you must come back the following year, pass that course and then continue on the model route.
A pass is 60 per cent, or a C grade.
(Upon successful completion of all courses in the model route you may apply to graduate. Convocation is a celebration of your success and the success of your classmates. Join your teachers, your families and your fellow students at this event that takes place in June.
Graduation
Students must successfully complete all program requirements in order to be eligible for graduation, and may be required to complete said requirements prior to progressing from one level of their program to the subsequent level.
The student is responsible for knowing the requirements for graduation from his or her program of study. The following conditions must be met to graduate:
- Students must successfully complete all courses in the program.
- Students registered in a co-op must successfully complete all co-op requirements.
- Students must complete the requirements of the program in effect at the time of graduation, unless the Dean or designate approves alternative arrangements in writing. This requirement includes any changes made to future semesters during the student’s studies, but does not include changes in semesters that have already been completed unless required for the future semester courses.
