Introduction

The School of Health at Mohawk College is at the forefront of educational innovation with the introduction of Virtual Reality (VR) simulations in the Nursing department. As we embark on this transformative journey, our aim is to expand the use of VR technology across all health programs. With a current inventory of 20, Meta Quest 3 headsets and access to two advanced simulation apps, UbiSim and SimX, featuring over 30 immersive scenarios, we are committed to enhancing the learning experience for our students. This online resource book provides a comprehensive review of Mohawk College’s VR standard operating procedures and policies, along with essential resources to support the effective implementation and use of VR headsets and applications within our programs.
