Reflect and Record

A key part of learning is reflecting on and recording your progress. Below you will see four (4) reflection questions to get you thinking. After taking some time to consider, complete the reflection activity below. In this activity, you will be able to gather, record, and export your thoughts to keep track of your learning progress. We encourage you to use this tool as a means of gauging both your personal and professional development.

Reflection activity

  1. How does your organization value the importance and impact of volunteers?
  2. Does your organization have a Volunteer Engagement strategy? If so, is it embedded into the strategic plan of the organization and does it have appropriate human and financial resources to support a professional leader of volunteers?
  3. Does your organization utilize the fulsome Volunteer Development cycle and assess results? If not, how could you begin utilizing it?
  4. How does your organization incorporate Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion into Volunteer Engagement? Where could these efforts be improved?
