Module 1: Understanding Volunteerism in the Not-for-Profit Sector

Reflect and Record

A key part of learning is reflecting on and recording your progress. Below you will see three (3) reflection questions to get you thinking. After taking some time to consider, complete the reflection activity below. In this activity, you will be able to gather, record, and export your thoughts to keep track of your learning progress. We encourage you to use this tool as a means of gauging both your personal and professional development.

Reflection activity

  1. What have you learned about volunteering in Canada that surprised you?
  2. How have your perceptions of the value of volunteering shifted after watching the presentation?
  3. As the motivations of volunteers shift, are our organizations flexible enough to pivot and take advantage of these changes? Why or why not?
