Philosophy

For me, nurses are compassionate, hardworking, and empathetic towards patients to help them through a vulnerable time while keeping a professional nurse-patient relationship. Nurses are great advocates for patients when they aren’t able to advocate for themselves and provide communication to help give the best quality care towards patients. Being a nurse is challenging although a rewarding career mentally, physically, and emotionally.

I chose to become a nurse because my grandmother was a nurse and I always looked up to  her as an inspiration. I constantly found myself wanting to help people and I work well in busy environments. I am always interested in the how the body works and how medicine is always evolving. Nursing for me is a great career as there are multiple pathways to take and ongoing education and learning throughout a nursing career.
