My 2 SMART Goals

Long Term SMART Goal; to improve my time management skills during the clinical period. During next semester things might get harder and it’s all up to me to create a planner for clinicals, personal tasks, and make sure I start with 3 hours a week of studying per subject which is 15 in total. I think my goal falls under the category of specific because I specify how I am going to get my goal done through a planner and specify the number of hours that I am going to use for studying. It’s a measurable goal because I can measure my progress through my grades and success throughout the next semester. This goal is achievable because If I stay focused these goals are very much achievable especially. This goal is relevant because it is critical to have good time management in nursing to counteract this heavy workload. This goal can be used for a long period, especially for my future semesters and clinical

Short-Term SMART Goal; To do good in pharmacology by practicing with homework, and reviewing the lesson for a least an hour a day by creating flashcards and studying with friends where we quiz each other to help prepare for my pharmacology exam. My goal is specific because I am targeting pharmacology and choosing to be more specific with my daily study style studying with friends, using flashcards, etc. I think that my progress is measurable because I’ll be able to see my progress through friends quizzing me every day. The more I get the terms right and get the answers correct it will show that I’m improving. Committing to a 1 hour time every day makes the goal more realistic and achievable constantly. The exam is in the next 3 weeks so if I consistently do this for 8 weeks.
