4 World War and Globalization

The WW1 and WW2 era

An individual known as Mr. Walters, lifted the spirits of many during the worldwide depression that followed World War 1 with his dark porter brews. Walters owned and operated the Trinidad Brewing company which produced and sold royal lion ale, royal extra stout and black velvet stout. In 1957, the midst of increasing competition from CDC, Mr. Walters sold the Trinidad brewing company to CDC thus adding his brands to their already growing portfolio. Since that time, their products are a staple in many social gatherings and we are proud to bring the fun and vibes that an island lime is known for, to over thirty countries across the globe. They cater to the young and the young at heart, with a guarantee that from the first sip to the last, the consumer will enjoy the great taste. The brand wanted to create a beer brand that was different from others but still offered that great quality taste.

Consolidation and globalization

The Carib breweries have been around for decades, influencing many people across the world. When the beer was first introduced back in 1950, The breweries came together to make sure that the brand would grow and be better than other brands from the Caribbean. Back then, the Carib brewery was an industry that lead and dominated the regional market in the production of a go-to beverage for locals and visitors. The Carib Brewery brands are internationally recognized and the Carib beer insignia is known around the world as a symbol of the Caribbean’s blue waters and year-round sunshine. The brand tries to represent the Caribbean more because they typically do not get much credit for their attributes. Many big companies around the world are either American, German or from China. People do not typically talk about product’s being made in the Caribbean and that is why the Carib brand is trying to push its brand to become one of the best in it’s culture.
